Why Do We Use heim Joints in ATV and Racing Vehicles

  A lot of technologies we are using today were invented during WW2, including computers, ATMs,Penicillin,etc. Heim joint, also known as rod end and rose joint were developed in WW2 by German armies.
  Heim joints are vastly used in ATV,UTV and other kind of racing vehicles. Because


  1. They permit the rod passingthrough it to be misaligned to a limited degree. Heim joints  provide necessary degree of freedom to A arms and other components. 
  2.  They can be easily replaced. 
  3. They are economical.
